University Recreation healthy habits programs and workshops are designed to elevate your overall wellbeing. Programs offered include health screenings, blood drives, Wellbeing Workshops, nutrition and stress management programs. Click on the links below to learn more information and to register for the programs.

Healthy Habits Programs:

Health Screenings- Have your blood pressure, blood glucose, blood cholesterol and more tested at a greatly reduced price.

Blood Drives-Give back to the community by donating blood. Inland Northwest Blood Center (INBC) will be offering two blood drives throughout the fall semester.

National Run at Work Day - On September 18, 2009 University Recreation will host a 4 mile (Cougar route) and 1.5 mile (Ferdinand's route) run/walk beginning at the Student Recreation Center.

Motivating Strategies-Leaving this session with a set of specific skills to motivate yourself to do any task including school, work, and exercise.

Removing Limiting Beliefs- Now consider learning the ways to identify all of your beliefs including the ones that are limiting you in any way. Knowing this we can easily change our beliefs resulting in new behaviors and more effective results.

Nutrition Programs:

Basic of Nutrition- This workshop will give you the tools to evaluate your current diet and ensure you start on the right foot with your healthy eating.

Eat This; Not That- This workshop will give you easy tools to help you decide what food items to choose when you are unsure as to which is the healthier option. 

Nutrition on a Budget- Learn about how to shop smart and prepare foods all without breaking the bank while staying healthy.
