Move Out, Pitch In

mopi

Move Out Pitch In is a charitable program aimed at limiting waste during move out week spring semester. With a help of WSU partners, community agencies collect the donated items and supply them to people in need. All food will be taken to community food banks for local distribution. All WSU students are welcome to participate. The program is twofold, it helps do something good for families in need AND diverts waste from the landfill.

In May and June of 2009 five charities collected and diverted just over 45 tons of STUFF from the landfill.  Items like food, clothing, furniture, and small electronics were collected at residential halls and at four locations off campus.  Thank you to all the students and community members who donated to the Move Out Pitch In effort!

Apple of the Day

Feeling runs down?  Try breathing deeply.  Every 1-2 hours, spend five minutes inhaling and exhaling deeply, hands on ribs.  You'll promote calmness and mental focus as well as renewed energy.
