Green Bikes

gb

The green bike initiative is striving to decrease consumption of fuel, as well as air and noise pollution on the WSU campus.  This program addresses the global effort to decrease the use of fossil fuels and emissions associated with global warming as well as impacting the physical health of community members. Bike Sharing is practiced all over the country in many different settings.  Cites use similar programs to decrease congestion and increase physical activity among residents.  Many colleges and universities have successful bike share programs that benefit users in many aspects of their health including, physical, mental, economical, and environmental.

Apple of the Day

Here are some easy ways to increase your physical activity throughout the day. Take fitness breaks-walking or doing desk exercises-instead of taking cigarette or coffee breaks. Play with children or pets.  Everybody wins. If you find it too difficult to be active after work, try it before work.
